Overview

Are you currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program and interested in gaining hands‑on experience in your chosen field of study? The Student‑Respiratory Therapy Assistant (RTA) position is the perfect opportunity for you.

Our RTA positions give Respiratory students an opportunity to get hands‑on experience in a clinical setting. These roles involve starting and discontinuing therapies for patients, learning about patient record‑keeping, and properly utilizing Respiratory Therapy equipment.

In addition to gaining clinical knowledge and experience, RTAs are uniquely positioned to move into official Registered Respiratory Therapy roles at Indiana University Health. These team members experience the many ways Respiratory Therapists impact patient lives for the better.

Outside of working with state‑of‑the‑art technology, IU Health provides several options for planning the future. The IUH organization offers incentives for every staff member, opportunities to stay healthy, volunteer in communities, and continue education through certifications and licensure courses. Eligible employees can also receive tuition reimbursement if they wish to go back to school.
