STUDENT LIFE (IN-STLI-IUINA) Department Specific Responsibilities
- Develops and implements an effective marketing strategy, track performance, and evaluate success based on learning outcomes and health behavior outcomes.
- Creates a comprehensive social media strategy and maintain unit social media and online presence.
- Creates digital assets for web-based education and intervention programs consistent with office strategic goals. Select and design the marketing / public health messaging approach for the office.
- Creates, manages, and produces a communication strategy that reaches all IU Indianapolis students, including electronic newsletters, digital signage, posters and flyers, program brochures, and university calendars.
- Coordinates with student support and academic units to share information and support collaborative promotion of health and wellness services.
- Serves as a liaison for campus partners by responding to collaboration requests and assisting with coordination of outreach initiatives, presentations, and info sessions.
- Helps organize and support collaborative outreach efforts, events, and tabling opportunities with campus departments.
- Maintains records and logs of partnerships, outreach activities, and participation for assessment and reporting purposes.
- Tracks inventory and distribution of wellness outreach materials used in collaborative efforts
- Meets with clients for health and wellness coaching sessions and assists in the training of student coaches.
- Creates and manages a comprehensive and strategic approach to digital marketing and awareness campaigns.
- Creates a comprehensive social media strategy and maintains unit social media and online presence.
- Creates and leads campaigns that include awareness and outreach events.
- Sets marketing performance metrics and evaluates goal achievement.
- Supports the administrative priorities of the office.

Education Required- Bachelor's degree in mental health, social work, student affairs, health education, or related field
- Master's degree in public health, health education, kinesiology, health and human services, communication, marketing or related field
- 1 year related work experience
- Related work experience in a higher education environment; graduate assistantship, internship, practicum work may count toward experience
- Proficient communication skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
- Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
