Responsibilities
- Perform microbiology techniques including aseptic technique, microbial culture, plating, and colony analysis
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
- Analyze experimental data and assist with interpretation of results
- Accurately document experimental procedures, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems
- Prepare reagents, buffers, media, and solutions according to established protocols
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), biosafety guidelines, and institutional safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining laboratory organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support senior researchers on complex projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field
- Demonstrated laboratory experience in biological research
- Proficiency in common microbiology laboratory techniques
