Registration Specialist – Sleep Lab (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Sleep Lab
No weekends or holidays
The Sleep Lab is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer‑focused Registration Specialist to support our fast‑paced clinical environment. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors—ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience from check‑in to check‑out. You will work closely with a dedicated team including registration specialists, medical assistants, nurses, providers, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities- Provide professional and timely check‑in and check‑out for all patients
- Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Accurately collect and enter patient demographic, financial, and medical information
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate flow with clinical team members
- Explain department/hospital policies, charges, and payment requirements to patients
- Validate and enter applicable charges into internal systems
- Collect payments and assist with billing‑related questions
- Communicate with internal departments; send messages and updates as needed
- Support positive patient experiences through empathy, accuracy, and efficiency
You’ll be part of a supportive team environment that includes:
- 2 Registration Specialists
- 8 Medical Assistants
- 4 Nurses
- Providers and department leadership
- Patients and internal partners across multiple departments

Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong customer service skills and caring attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Prior healthcare or medical office experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to learn and retain ICD‑10 and CPT coding
- Ability to interpret insurance information and clinical practices
- Computer savvy
- Hard‑working and dependable
- Patient‑focused and empathetic
- Strong communicator (in person and by phone)
- Team‑oriented with a positive attitude
