Clinical Social Worker - Up to $30K Accession Bonus

As a Clinical Social Worker in the U.S. Navy, you’ll provide essential mental health support and counseling to service members, their families, and communities worldwide. Whether you're a recent MSW graduate or an experienced licensed clinical social worker, the Navy offers rewarding opportunities to deliver therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and prevention programs in dynamic military settings.

NEW GRADS WELCOME (with appropriate post-MSW supervised experience)

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert, compassionate counseling and therapy in clinical and operational environments
  • Conduct crisis intervention, trauma support, and deployment-related counseling
  • Lead workshops and prevention programs on stress management, resilience, family issues, and more
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, chaplains, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Offer case management, advocacy, and resource connection for service members and families
  • Deploy worldwide as needed (for Active Duty roles)
  • Maintain high standards of care following evidence-based clinical social work practices
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen, typically under age 42
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited graduate program
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post-MSW supervised clinical social work experience (preferred)
  • Current licensure/certification as a clinical social worker (LCSW or equivalent) allowing independent practice
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

This is an Active Duty U.S. Navy position in the Medical Service Corps and requires relocation.
