Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Practice Manager position based in Indianapolis, IN. The Practice Manager will oversee the daily operations of the medical practice, including managing administrative staff and clerical workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency. Responsibilities include supervising billing processes, budgeting, overseeing patient scheduling systems, and maintaining excellent patient service standards. This role involves working closely with physicians, staff, and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications- Proficiency in medical office operations, practice management systems, and patient scheduling workflows
- Experience in team leadership, staff management, and training
- Knowledge of billing practices, insurance processes, and financial management
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare compliance regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience managing a medical practice or healthcare facility is highly desirable
- Current CPR certification
- Current driver's license and good driving record
- Must have a clinical background
- Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment. Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have experience as a Medical Assistant and as a Practice Manager
- Must have experience with Acumen/Epic EHR
