Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
• Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care techniques
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
• Document care activities accurately using Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) systems
• Assist with transportation or driving residents to appointments or activities as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, including first aid protocols and emergency response plans
• Engage in ongoing training related to caregiving best practices, behavior management, and long-term care standards

Qualifications

• Ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities of any kind
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
• Valid driver's license for transportation duties preferred but not mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting with Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting resident privacy
