Regional Account Manager
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will be responsible for promoting our portfolio of products that are transforming the approach to rare diseases. As part of the Commercial team, they will develop relationships with current and potential clients, driving the knowledge and adoption of our therapeutic solutions for atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) in nephrology and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (HPN/PNH) in hematology.
We are looking for a person with an interest in the scientific and pharmacological field, motivated to stay updated on the latest advances, research, and publications related to our therapeutic areas.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide scientific and medical information about aHUS and PNH to opinion leaders and decision-makers.
- Implement the commercial strategy of Alexion in key accounts and assigned hospitals, ensuring the achievement of commercial objectives.
- Identify and communicate the needs, characteristics, and environment of key accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong and trustworthy relationships with hospitals, key accounts, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Implement training and awareness plans about the diseases, following the established guidelines and processes and using the approved materials and tools.
- Organize training sessions and scientific meetings in hospitals with the support of the Medical Department.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team of the territory (MSL, Access, and Patient Journey Manager).
- Analyze market data and the competitive environment to identify opportunities and competitive advantages.
- Keep customer management and reporting systems (CRM) updated.
- Collect and communicate pharmacovigilance information according to the procedures established by the Medical Department.
- Share relevant information with the local Alexion Pharma team.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Public Affairs teams.
- Contribute to ensuring access to treatment for all patients within the approved indications.
- Participate in the development of the national commercial and marketing strategy.
- Stay updated on changes in health policies and evaluate their impact on the business.
- Prepare and deliver medical, educational, and promotional presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
- Develop all activities respecting the current pharmaceutical regulations, as well as the company's policies, procedures, and values.
- 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in the hospital environment and in the area of rare diseases or orphan drugs.
- Previous experience in key account management will be valued.
- Demonstrable track record of commercial success in specialized positions within the hospital sector.
- Ability to solve problems and manage complex situations effectively.
- Knowledge of current Spanish pharmaceutical regulations.
- Proficiency in computer tools (Microsoft Office) and reporting systems.
- Availability to travel regionally and nationally.
- Intermediate level of English, both spoken and written.
- Strong scientific or medical background.
- University degree in Health Sciences (preferably) or in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
