Position: Per Diem / PRN Physical Therapist - $50-55 per hour
Location: Indianapolis

Select Medical is seeking a per diem / prn Physical Therapist for a position in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Overview

This is a treating clinical position with travel required to various home care settings, between centers, doctor’s offices, and patients’ homes for therapy treatments. The physical therapist will provide preventative and rehabilitative services in the home, helping patients return to athletics, work, life, and the activities they love.

Compensation

Competitive rates $50 to $55 per hour based on years of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disorders to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Travel to different home care settings, between clinics or doctor’s offices, and patients’ homes as required.
  • Evaluate the home environment for rehabilitation and make appropriate recommendations to increase client independence.
  • Prepare and maintain individualized client care progress records with accuracy, timeliness, and in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants by directing, participating in, and presenting continuing education programs; assume administrative or supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the director.
  • Educate clients, caregivers, and health‑care teams about phases of physical therapy, the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices, and durable medical equipment as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Licensed physical therapist in the state of employment.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a physical therapist.
  • Automobile liability insurance and a current unrestricted driver’s license.
  • CPR certification or completion of CPR training.
