Job Summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
• Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-care, and functional skills necessary for academic success.
• Collaborate closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist, teachers, and child study team.
• Monitor and document student progress, reporting outcomes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student performance, and IEP compliance.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Associate s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
