- Traveler to support our client’s medical facility based in Indianapolis IN 46219

This is a 5+ month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
  - Traveler
• Location: Indianapolis IN 46219
• Schedule: day shift 6a-2:30pm with rotational weekends
• Duration: 5+ months

• Gram stains
• Positive blood cultures
• ASCP Certified

Performs laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. Ensures high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety while carrying out assigned technical responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures, quality assurance guidelines, and safety standards.
• Prepare reagents, maintain supplies, and manage inventory to support efficient operations and reduce waste.
• Exercise sound clinical judgment to prioritize workload, identify issues, troubleshoot test systems, and escape concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
• Assist with review and revision of procedures and documentation to support accreditation and regulatory compliance (CAP, TJC, OSHA, etc.).
• Maintain clear, real-time communication with teammates and leadership regarding issues impacting patient care or department operations.

• MLT registry eligible or equivalent required at hire
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required within one year of hire

• Fast-paced clinical laboratory setting
• Regular exposure to biohazardous materials, chemicals, and mechanical hazards
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
