Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years experience proficient in both peripheral vascular and neuro vascular IR procedures at a Level 1 trauma facility.

Details
  • Work in a Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke center with 4 IR rooms including 2 single plane and 2 biplane Siemens C-arms
  • Two IR techs are assigned to each room, with one circulating and one scrubbing
  • Perform vascular interventional and neuro interventional procedures including angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, and central line insertions
  • Uses Philips and Siemens equipment along with PACS system
  • Cerner charting system required
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call requirement every 3rd or 4th weekend from Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
  • 100% floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology
  • Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification
  • IN license or Compact license required (license required if applicable)
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Must be proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neuro vascular IR
  • Must be able to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases
  • Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostogram, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
  • Experience with carotid stenting, EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and renal angiography/stent placement
  • 2 supervisor references required
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Perform peripheral vascular and neuro vascular interventional procedures including angioplasty, embolization, endograft placement, and selective visceral angiography
  • Dialysis graft interventions and pacemaker insertion experience preferred
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved, with additional time requiring facility approval
  • In-state residents are considered local candidates
  • Any current or former IU Health perm or PRN employee must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler
  • Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility, with out-of-state residents requiring a 3 month break and in-state residents requiring a 6 month break prior to the year mark
