Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions; administering oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol medications; performing diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing; collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans; educating patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and disease management; maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards;
and operating and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
Requirements include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program, a current Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) as required by state regulations, certification by NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) preferred or required, BLS and ACLS certification required, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and experience in acute care, ICU, or emergency settings preferred.
