PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a 5x8.0 schedule with shifts starting ASAP.

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of superior quality patient care as aligned with the Select Medical Way and Core Values. This professional will work collaboratively with Physical Therapists to implement treatment goals and monitor patient progress while ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment.

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions such as strength training, balance exercises, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients in locomotion with assistive devices and demonstrate safety awareness techniques.
• Utilize various modalities for treatment and monitor patient responses.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families on body mechanics.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and follow safety and infection control guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and team conferences.

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience required.
• CPR Certification required.
