Interventional Radiology Technician

The IR Tech will provide specialized interventional radiology services within a tertiary hospital setting, supporting various general and neuro IR procedures. They will collaborate with medical teams to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures following established protocols.
• Assist physicians during interventions, ensuring proper equipment setup and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures within electronic medical records.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and verify compliance with certifications.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are prepared and properly sterilized.

• Hold a minimum of 1 year of relevant IR tech experience.
• Possess ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification.
• Maintain a valid SC license or be eligible to obtain one.
• Provide a radiation badge; agency-issued badges are required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in general IR procedures, with preferred neuro IR experience.
• Be flexible with schedule requirements, including weekend and on-call shifts.
