American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience proficient in both peripheral vascular and neuro vascular IR procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology
- Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
- IN or Compact license required if applicable, must be in hand prior to start date
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must be proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neuro vascular IR
- Ability to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases
- Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripherals, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
- Experience with EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and dialysis graft interventions preferred
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Level 1 Trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 Stroke center
- Interventional Radiology department with 4 IR rooms including 2 single-plane and 2 biplane Siemens c-arms
- Two IR techs are assigned to each room, with one circulating and one scrubbing
- Performs vascular interventional and neuro interventional procedures including angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, and central line insertions
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement every 3rd or 4th weekend, from Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
- Floating is required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Cerner charting experience required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
- IN residents are considered local candidates
- Any current or former Perm/PRN employee of the facility must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Current or past travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment within the health system must take a designated break to reset eligibility before their year mark, effective 2/24/26
- Out-of-state residents require a 3-month break and in-state residents require a 6-month break to reset travel eligibility
- Uses Philips and Siemens equipment, PACS, C-arm, and contrast administration
