Firefly Children & Family Alliance is currently seeking an Outpatient Therapist specializing in providing family-focused therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents to support improved functioning within themselves, their families and also within their community. Some evenings are required, and must be willing to see clients ages 3 to 18.

Responsibilities Therapy (50%)
  • Provide counseling support to a caseload of individuals, families, and groups working to achieve treatment goals related to healing from trauma or processing emotions.
  • Guide clients through clear, beneficial counseling methods to accomplish client-set goals.
  • Maintain the therapeutic standards outlined by professional degrees and license.
Therapy Support (50%)
  • Use referral sources such as Department of Child Services and other multiple institutions related to clients.
  • Complete monthly reports and documentation of all contacts with family and related familial contacts.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine client's level of need and best therapeutic intervention.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • 3+ years’ experience in child development, attachment issues, attachment specific treatment and trauma-informed care.
  • Knowledge of working with children with abuse, neglect issues, and family dynamics and basic skills in family counseling.
  • Must have LSW, LCSW preferred.
  • Experience working with sexually maladaptive youth preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have valid driver's license with no more than 6 points and valid insurance.
