The Receptionist plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Medical Group. As a receptionist you will be the welcoming face and voice that greets patients with care. • Must be available and willing to travel to ALL Union Health System locations throughout Terre Haute, Clinton, Rockville, Brazil, Clay City, Riley, and Marshall IL.
• Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.
• Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule and cancel patient appointments, prepare, and maintain medical records.
• Process transactions and reconcile cash with charges, assist patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Provide training to new employees and perform other assigned duties.

• Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Computer knowledge
• Previous EMR experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.
