Location: Indianapolis

As a Caregiver at Sevita in Healthcare & Medical Services, you'll provide compassionate personal care and daily living support to individuals in home and community settings. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility, and medication reminders while promoting independence and dignity. You'll follow individualized care plans, document care activities, and promptly report changes in condition. Working closely with families and care teams, you'll contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, reflecting Sevita's culture of empathy, collaboration, and continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
  • Support safe mobility and transfers, including use of assistive devices as needed.
  • Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding while following dietary guidelines.
  • Offer medication reminders per care plan (no medication administration unless certified/allowed).
  • Observe, document, and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition.
  • Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols, including infection control.
  • Provide companionship, social engagement, and emotional support to clients and families.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home or community environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain and build caregiving skills.
