* duties/responsibilities:** #### accompanies and assists emergency medical technicians on calls. Drives ambulances or assists ambulance drivers in transporting sick, injured, or convalescing persons.* #### places patients on stretchers and loads stretchers into ambulances usually with assistance from other attendants.  + #### wheelchairs are pushed by hand and loaded via lift in wheelchair vans* #### restrains or shackles violent patients with assistance and guidance of emergency medical technician  + #### if wheelchair patients become combative upgrade transport reported to dispatch* #### removes and replaces soiled linens and equipment to maintain sanitary conditions.

* education and experience:** #### high school diploma or equivalent required.* #### current driver's license required with good driving history* #### must be over the age of 21 (insurance coverage reasons)* #### understanding of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that apply to ambulance service.* #### good interpersonal communication skills.* #### ability to work well under pressure.####
