Skills Clinician Overview

The Life Skills Clinician (LSC) monitors and provides care coordination and life skills training and development in collaboration with the care team to youth and/or adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders, including those with serious and persistent mental illness and chronic addiction.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
  • Assist with gathering data for comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
  • Deescalate clients displaying aggressive behaviors.
  • Document services provided in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) based on policies and procedures.
  • Transport clients in personal vehicles when necessary.
  • Comply with all applicable Behavioral Health Care Service policies and procedures.
  • Actively involved in professional development and education, including mandatory training.
  • Complete timecards, PTO requests, mileage reports, and other documentation per Community Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
  • Individuals may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required in mental health or related field.
  • Current Indiana Driver's License required.
  • Two (2) years of social service experience in a volunteer or paid role (Preferred).
