Medical Biller

Busy Family Practice on the Northwest side of Indianapolis has an immediate opening for a candidate with experience in Medical Billing. Looking for full and part time.

Two years experience in a medical office setting.

Customer Service – Manages difficult patient situations gracefully. Responds promptly to patient needs.

Oral Communications – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations. Listens and gets clarification. Responds well to questions.

Professionalism – Approaches others in a tactful manner. Reacts well under pressure. Treats other with respect and consideration. Accepts responsibility for own actions.

Knowledge of entire revenue cycle in a medical office including:

• Entering patient demographics and billing information
• Verifying insurance coverage and benefits
• Collecting copays, co-ins, deductibles and balances from patients
• Answer patient's billing questions
• Handle collections on unpaid accounts
• Working Accounts Receivable reports
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider and patient to get a claim processed and paid
• Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
• Post payments and correctly apply insurance adjustments
