Busy Family Practice on the Northwest side of Indianapolis has an immediate opening for a candidate with experience in Medical Billing. Looking for full and part time.
Job Requirements for position of Medical Biller:- Two years experience in a medical office setting.
- Customer Service – Manages difficult patient situations gracefully. Responds promptly to patient needs.
- Oral Communications – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations. Listens and gets clarification. Responds well to questions.
- Professionalism – Approaches others in a tactful manner. Reacts well under pressure. Treats other with respect and consideration. Accepts responsibility for own actions.
- Knowledge of entire revenue cycle in a medical office including:
- Entering patient demographics and billing information
- Verifying insurance coverage and benefits
- Collecting copays, co-ins, deductibles and balances from patients
- Answer patient's billing questions
- Handle collections on unpaid accounts
- Working Accounts Receivable reports
- Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider and patient to get a claim processed and paid - Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
- Post payments and correctly apply insurance adjustments
Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm
$50,000 - $55,000
