NOW HIRING - ACTIVITY ASSISTANT
The Activity Aide assists the Activity Director in carrying out a planned activity program for residents. Leads activities, maintains records, assists in scheduling, and transports residents to and from activities.
* CNA preferred but not required.
- Aides assist the activities director and residents complete arts and crafts, outdoor activities, sports, music, drama, etc.
- Assist in leading the participants in group activities, such as an exercise class, cooking class, or art project.
- Proper charting of resident participation.
- Assist in planning programs for residents, which can help to provide socialization, relaxation and exercise.
Activity aides should be energetic and personable to work with residents or participants. The aide should have the ability to motivate others to participate in activities. The worker should also be sensitive to the needs of each individual patient or participant. Time management is mandatory to be successful in this position.
