Peabody Retirement Community is looking for a Full-Time Activity Assistant to join our team! We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate, dependable, and enjoys building meaningful relationships with older adults.

What You’ll Do

As an Activity Assistant, you’ll help create engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and assisting with individual and group activities
  • Spending one-on-one time with residents based on their interests and needs
  • Assisting with planning creative activities and special events
  • Encouraging resident participation and socialization
  • Escorting residents to and from activities
  • Working with residents living with dementia and adapting activities to meet their abilities and interests
  • Helping create a positive, welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who brings enthusiasm to work and genuinely enjoys working with seniors. Creativity, patience, compassion, and a positive attitude are important in this role.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with older adults or individuals living with dementia is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, energetic, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to engage residents with different interests, abilities, and needs
