Overview

Do you love the hospitality industry? Looking for an upbeat atmosphere? We are looking for an energetic, creative, driven, and initiative-taking Banquet Captain at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport
.

Responsibilities
  • A Banquet Captain is the key point of contact for clients and staff during banquet events, ensuring exact standards of customer service and overall event satisfaction.
  • Overseeing banquet event setup and ensuring all details are in line with client requirements.
  • Coordinating with the kitchen staff and chefs to ensure prompt preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Ensuring that the presentation of food and beverages meet the hotel’s standards.
  • Directing banquet staff throughout the event, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
  • Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints from guests in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Monitoring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Communicating with clients before, during and after the event to ensure satisfaction and to build relationships for future bookings.
  • Providing training and guidance to banquet staff as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Proven work experience in banquet or catering management.
  • Knowledge of several types of banquet setups and service styles.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively deal with clients and staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field is a plus.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work nights, and weekends on a full-time basis.
