Job Overview

The Bell Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. The role includes assisting guests with luggage, delivering messages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Assist hotel guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Use guest last names and appropriate salutations during interactions.
  • Demonstrate proper phone etiquette and other company communication standards.
  • Conduct thorough room presentations for guests and assist with room changes when needed.
  • Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the rooms, meeting facilities, and public areas of the hotel.
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests and assist with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries.
  • Provide information about the hotel, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions in the area.
  • Assist guests with transportation to off‑site locations using approved taxi or transport services.
  • Correctly tag individual bags for storage in the bell storage area and ensure safe transport.
  • Continuously monitor and maintain cleanliness and order of the guest services area.
  • Deliver messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Account Manager.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months of related experience and/or training.

Licensure & Certifications

Completion of the Towne Park Wheelchair Safety Training course.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds using units of American money.
  • Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Understanding of rates applicable to time passed.
Compensation and Schedule

Hourly base pay range: $9 per hour plus $5‑$10 per hour in tips. Work schedule may include AM/PM shift times.
