Bell Attendant

Overview

As a Bell Attendant, you will provide exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Your role includes greeting guests, assisting with luggage, presenting rooms, and offering information about the hotel, meeting rooms and local attractions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist hotel guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers and clients.
  • Greet guests within five feet with a professional tone, using their last names and an appropriate salutation.
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
  • Conduct thorough room presentations for guests and assist with room changes as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of the rooms, meeting facilities and public areas of the hotel.
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests and assist with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries.
  • Provide information to guests about hotel amenities, meeting rooms and main attractions in the area.
  • Assist guests with transportation to off‑site locations using approved taxi and transport services.
  • Correctly tag individual bags for storage and ensure all luggage is safely transported.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and order of the guest services area.
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Account Manager.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensure / Certification: Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park.
  • Work Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Skills:
    • Read and write standard English.
    • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
    • Write simple correspondence.
    • Present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
    • Perform basic arithmetic: add, subtract three‑digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds of dollars.
    • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
    • Understand rates applicable to time passed.
Compensation and Schedule

Hourly base pay range: $8‑$10 per hour plus $5‑$10 per hour in tips. Work schedule may include AM/PM shift times.
