Recepcionista (temporal) - NH Valencia Las Ciencias

As a receptionist, you will be responsible for attending to the needs of guests upon arrival and departure as well as providing them with an exceptional experience overall during their stay, in line with the hotel's vision and values on customer satisfaction.

Your duties will include:

  • Receiving and completing the check-in process for all arriving guests and groups punctually and professionally, as well as completing the check-out process for departing guests and groups.
  • Managing room assignments based on guest characteristics (VIP, traditional, new clients, etc.) with the corresponding department.
  • Managing, if necessary, and ensuring that the reception and management team are fully informed of guest requests, queries, complaints, and/or suggestions from both guests and other departments.
  • Knowing all hotel products and services, rates, available promotions and discount packages, as well as daily special and VIP events.
  • Knowing and communicating the services available in the hotel (such as restaurant reservations) and general security information.
  • Maximizing room occupancy with the best rates (this includes closing sales and extranets if necessary).
  • Using up-selling techniques (promoting the company's loyalty program and rewards, other destinations, food and beverages, hotel transport and facilities).
  • Managing guest room reservations.
  • Providing guests with information about the property and surroundings (museums, monuments), including special events, places of interest, restaurants, activities, etc. in the city.
  • Responding to guest requests for special services or preparations (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by organizing or identifying the appropriate suppliers.
  • Following the company's brand standards.
  • Assisting other departments as needed.
  • Providing night services to guests (e.g., wake-up call).
  • Managing billing payments and cash operations during the night shift.
  • Making rounds, checking for irregularities, closing windows, doors, etc.
  • Responsible for nightly audit reports.

We are looking for:

  • Previous experience in the front office department, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Essential command of the local language and high level of English.
  • Knowledge of various computer programs (Microsoft Office, TMS, etc.) and front office systems.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility to respond to various work situations.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Commercial orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
