- Compensation: $8‑$10 per hour base pay plus $5 per hour shift differential plus $5‑$10 per hour in tips.
- Work Schedule:
11pm‑7am. - Benefits: accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan. Eligibility depends on classification, employment length and hours worked; seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner, parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, and assisting with luggage and other guest needs.
Essential Functions- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor using their last names.
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests; practices proper phone etiquette; uses designated areas when not completing tasks.
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys; collects claim checks before issuing keys; completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt; calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Licensure:
Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance. - Work Experience:
One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Knowledge:
Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. - Skills:
Read and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations; perform basic arithmetic with American money; understand 24‑hour and military time; understand rates applicable to time passed; operate a manual transmission; perform parallel parking.
Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures, receives specific directions, and is frequently checked. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Working Conditions & Physical DemandsWork is performed outdoors for extended periods, often sitting or standing, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception. Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly is required. Weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
Up to 5% travel may be required.
