Compensation:
Hourly base pay 8–10 USD per hour plus $5 per hour shift differential (12 a.m.–6 a.m.) and $5–10 USD per hour in tips.

Work Schedule:

11 p.m.–7 a.m.

Benefits:
Employees may enroll in accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, telemedicine benefits and the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan, subject to eligibility requirements. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.

SUMMARY

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting guests with luggage, and delivering guest amenities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers and clients; greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor and addressing them by last name. – 25%
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location; practice proper phone etiquette; stand in designated areas when not completing tasks. – 10%
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. – 20%
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities; shuttles guests to approved locations. – 10%
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; maintains ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt; calculates and collects revenue when needed. – 35%

The total amount of time for all functions of the job is 100%.

QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required Licensure, Certification, etc.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commuting distance of the state of employment.
Work Experience
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge
  • Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees.
  • Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Perform parallel parking.
SCOPE Authority to Act
  • Job is fairly routine; incumbent follows established practices and procedures; duties are performed with specific directions and work is checked or verified frequently. Decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

  • Employee has control over resources available only.
