Summary
The Bell Attendant provides exceptional hospitality services to guests, greeting them warmly, assisting with luggage, and delivering information about the hotel, its rooms, meeting facilities, and local attractions. The role requires maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor, conducting room presentations, managing luggage delivery and pickup, and coordinating guest transportation and inquiries.
Responsibilities- Greet guests within five feet and use their last names during all interactions.
- Use proper phone etiquette and the appropriate salutation of the day.
- Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure.
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Provide directions, taxi reservations, and assistance with all other travel inquiries.
- Assist guests with room changes, transport to off‑site locations, and other service requests.
- Deliver messages, items, or guest amenities as requested.
- Conduct thorough room presentations and ensure guests are aware of hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Monitor and keep the guest service area clean and orderly.
- Tag and store individual bags in the bell storage area and ensure safe transportation.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Licensure, CertificationMust complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park.
Work ExperienceOne to three months of related experience or training.
KnowledgeUnderstanding of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills- Read, write, and comprehend standard English language and simple instructions.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
- Perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of up to three‑digit numbers, including calculations with U.S. currency.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time systems and related rate calculations.
Hourly base pay of $9‑$10 per hour plus $5‑$10 per hour in tips. Eligible employees may enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan, subject to eligibility requirements.
