Sky Bridge Luxury has partnered with an exciting ownership group to identify an exceptional General Manager to lead the pre-opening and opening of a highly anticipated lifestyle hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Position Overview

The General Manager will oversee every aspect of the hotel's pre-opening strategy, launch, and ongoing operations. Working closely with ownership and executive leadership, this individual will establish the operational foundation, recruit and develop the leadership team, implement brand standards, and position the hotel as one of the city's most sought-after lifestyle destinations.

This role requires a leader who balances operational excellence with creativity, embraces the local community, and understands how to create an engaging culture for both guests and associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the hotel's pre-opening and grand opening.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop an exceptional executive leadership team.
• Foster a culture centered on service excellence, accountability, and innovation.
• Oversee all operational departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Human Resources.
• Drive RevPAR, ADR, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Develop annual operating and capital budgets while maintaining disciplined cost controls.
• Partner closely with ownership on strategic planning, reporting, and long-term asset performance.
• Establish the hotel as a recognized destination within the Indianapolis market through community engagement and strategic partnerships.
• Deliver an elevated guest experience that reflects the property's lifestyle positioning.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and brand standards.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous General Manager experience within an upscale or luxury hotel.
• Pre-opening experience strongly preferred.
• Strong background in lifestyle, boutique, or independent hospitality.
• Demonstrated success leading Food & Beverage-driven hotels.
• Proven experience building high-performing leadership teams and positive workplace cultures.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing complex operating budgets and delivering consistent profitability.
• Excellent ownership communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for hospitality, innovation, and guest experience.

Preferred Background

• Strong Food & Beverage leadership exposure.
• Experience working with ownership groups, developers, and asset managers.
• Proven success opening or repositioning hotels.
