Job Description
The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for a part-time Guest Service Associate within the Morris Inn in our campus Hospitality department. The UOES Division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.
The Morris Inn is a AAA Four Diamond Hotel and sits at the heart of Notre Dame’s storied campus. It continues to be the “living room” of the University of Notre Dame where guests will find the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy a business lunch, family gathering, special occasion or a casual meal.
Guest Service AssociateAre you a hospitality enthusiast with a knack for making people feel at home? The Morris Inn at the University of Notre Dame is excited to welcome a new Guest Service Associate to our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued guests, providing personalized service, addressing their needs, and ensuring their stay exceeds expectations in our elegant and vibrant campus setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests when they arrive at the Morris Inn
- Check guests in/out of their stay
- Answer questions and provide directions in a way that displays a high degree of hospitality
- Process hotel payments and post charges to guest folios
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls from guests and various campus departments
We are ideally looking for someone with evening availability. The shift is 3PM-11PM.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
