Coordinator of Championships Women’s Basketball

Job Function: With the Director of Women’s Basketball, oversee and manage all aspects of the student-athlete experience, lodging, merchandise, licensing, hospitality, and transportation for the Division I Women's Basketball championship.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversight of the Division I Women's Basketball Championship lodging program.

• Oversee all aspects of the Divison I Women'sBasketball Championship lodging program for Opening Rounds, first and second rounds and regionals, and oversee team hotels at the Women's Final Four.

• Serve as the primary NCAA liaison to host lodging liaisons, contracted hotels,convention and visitors bureaus (where applicable), and the NCAA's hotel management company.

• Coordinate the development, execution, and ongoing management of hotel room blocks, meeting space and other needs to support participating teams, game officials, committee members, NCAA staff, broadcast partners, sponsors, and other championship constituents.

• Review hotel proposals and inventory recommendations to ensure compliance with NCAA lodging policies, contractual obligations, and championship operational requirements.

• Monitor hotel room utilization, pickup reports, attrition exposure, and inventory adjustments throughout the championship cycle.

• Facilitate communication among hosts, hotels, the hotel management company,and internal NCAA departments regarding lodging needs, updates, and issue resolution.

• Lead annual lodging planning calls, site visits, and educational sessions with hostsand lodging partners to ensure understanding of NCAA expectations and service standards.

• Collaborate with host organizations and hotel partners to identify and secure appropriate accommodations, meeting space, hospitality space, and ancillary event space.

• Develop and maintain lodging timelines, policies, procedures, and operational documents for championship stakeholders.

• Manage escalated lodging issues and provide solutions related to reservations,rooming lists, inventory, billing, accessibility needs, and constituent experience.

• Work closely with finance, travel, championships, and event operations staff toensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, billing reconciliation, and fiscal accountability related to lodging operations.

• Assess lodging program performance and recommend process improvements,efficiencies, and enhancements to improve the championship experience for participating teams and stakeholders.

• Support long-term hotel sourcing strategies and future championship site evaluations by providing lodging analysis, availability assessments, and operational recommendations.

Management of NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship student-athlete experience.

• Management of NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship student-athlete experience.

• Management of the memento and awards program (e.g., participation awards,trophies) for all rounds of the championship.

• Management of the team welcome and team host program at regional rounds andthe Women’s Final Four.

• Manage the coordination of the student-athlete and family lounges, including working with hotels and other vendors to identify space and amenities, equipment,furniture, load-in/out, etc., at Women’s Final Four.

• Develop and manage initiatives connected to the student-athlete experience.

• Manage the budget for student-athlete experience items.

• Coordinate with men’s basketball, corporate relations and other NCAA internal departments, where applicable.

Administration of the Division I Women's Basketball Championship.
