Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Human Resources Director to join our dynamic human resource team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing human capital functions, supporting organizational development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic HR initiatives, employee relations, and talent management within a fast-paced environment.
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for overseeing various HR processes, fostering a positive workplace culture, and implementing best practices across all HR functions.
- Partner with CEO and others in Leadership Team to develop HR strategies that support company growth and operational performance.
- Manage human capital resources, maintaining, and developing partnerships with external organizations, and implementing data-driven HR reporting.
- Creating and enforcing HR policies that comply with legal requirements and reflect the organization's values and culture.
- Overseeing the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing and hiring, to attract and retain top talent. These roles are critical to supporting and leading the people-centric vision and strategic direction of the company, ensuring a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and build partnerships with management and employees to provide guidance and communicate and interpret Human Resources and company policies, procedures, local, state and federal government laws and regulations.
- Participate in defining goals and decisions for the HR department. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the department's and services' continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Deliver an extraordinary employee experience by fostering a trusting environment where employees can openly engage with HR. Connect in person regularly with employees where they work, and advocate for and provide guidance to leadership on people-related needs and concerns.
- Deliver timely performance feedback and execute/contribute to performance appraisals during the annual performance cycle, utilizing talent management systems.
- Work with department heads to understand employee job duties and business requirements to develop sourcing and recruitment strategies.
- Other activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Proven experience in human resources management or related roles with a strong understanding of human resources practices and policies.
- Experience in areas like recruiting, compliance, benefits and payroll.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP Success Factors, Oracle HCM, Ulti Pro, or equivalent platforms is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA standards, workers' compensation procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage employee relations effectively.
- Background in performance management and training & development programs is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Display intellectual curiosity/lifelong learner.
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or similar field of study from an accredited degree program.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HRCI PHR or SHRM PR certification or other related certification is preferred.
The physical demands here are representative of those required of any employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Employee is regularly required to be mobile and travel short distances. The employee occasionally performs work off-site at secondary work location. The employee must be able to occasionally lift 10 pounds and climb stairs.
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in an office. The noise in the work environment is moderate to loud at times, but the office setting is quiet. The employee may at times be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock. The employee must work in compliance with the company's safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
