Employee Relations Partner

Indiana University Health seeks individuals who embody these values to join the Employee Relations team in the role of Employee Relations Partner.
This HR professional specializes in maintaining positive relationships between team members and the organization by conducting full‑life cycle investigations. The role provides comprehensive Employee Relations support to designated leaders and team members, resolves issues, offers strategic guidance on employee policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with employment laws. The partner minimizes organizational liability by applying current employment laws and engaging Legal when necessary, investigates complaints, grievances, and conflicts, collaborates with other HR professionals and management to improve morale, engagement, and productivity, and compiles and analyzes employee‑relations data to identify trends.
Additional responsibilities may include providing feedback to management, developing and conducting training programs on employment law and HR policies, and partnering with HR and business leaders to manage discipline and performance improvement processes.

Scope:
Supporting Providers Statewide. This role provides dedicated Employee Relations and Investigative support to advanced practice providers and physicians across the entire state system. Candidates with proven Advanced Practice Provider and Physician Employee Relations experience are strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of HR related experience.
- Preferably 3-5 years of Employee Relations experience.
- Human Resources certification strongly preferred (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP).
- Able to guide the application of HR related regulations and laws (e.g. FLSA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.).
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to analyze data and provide insights for improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
