HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HRIS Specialist
Position Purpose
As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will serve as a trusted partner in delivering comprehensive HR support across a range of key functional areas. This hands‑on role requires strong professional experience in employee relations, performance management, and payroll, with a focus on ensuring compliance with both Federal and California employment laws. As the sole HR business partner on‑site at our Hayward OpCo distribution center, you will collaborate closely with operational leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and drive workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement to foster a high‑performance, people‑first culture.

Location:
877 Perry Rd., Plainfield, IN 46168 - Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, normal business hours, with a requirement to work 100% on‑site. Occasional early morning or late afternoon hours may be required.
- Subject to change based on business needs but will still be on average 40-45 hours per week.
- Travel: N/A
- Compensation: $65k-$75k Base Salary, depending on experience, with bonus opportunity based on KPIs
- Support onboarding needs and facilitate weekly new hire orientation
- Administer various HR plans and procedures for all Core‑Mark personnel including pay, benefits, and leave related processes
- Address employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and HR programs
- Conduct best practice surveys and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Provide employee relations support including conducting investigations
- Provide legal support for all active litigations
- Perform HRIS data maintenance; including new hires processing and status changes
- Conduct regular audits on employee timekeeping records to ensure compliance
- Assist with responses to unemployment claims
Coordinate employee training, employee awards, and other Core‑Mark programs - Provide additional support to HR processes across Core‑Mark
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with HR information systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
- Union experience is highly desired
