Position: HR - HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Location: Indianapolis

Overview

This opportunity is for an HR Manager with a division of a global automotive manufacturing organization. The facility employs more than 400 people in a non-union environment and is seeking an HR leader to drive key people initiatives while overseeing a team of seven, including HR Generalists along with Payroll and Benefits personnel.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day human resources operations, including employee retention initiatives, communication programs, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Work closely with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and standards.
  • Direct compensation and benefits programs while implementing initiatives focused on workforce engagement and long-term employee retention.
  • Oversee payroll, onboarding, FMLA administration, benefits coordination, and the execution of company HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage the recruiting and hiring process to support ongoing staffing needs.
Candidate Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, including experience as an HR Generalist or Human Resources Manager.
  • Previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of talent acquisition, employee relations, internal communications, payroll, and conflict resolution.
  • Hands-on experience with FMLA administration, employee benefits, and developing or improving HR policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
