The Human Resources Specialist serves as a key resource for employees and managers, acting as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and support. This role is instrumental in delivering a positive employee experience by providing day‑to‑day guidance across a broad range of human resources functions.
Responsibilities include supporting payroll processes, employee relations, recruitment and onboarding activities, benefits administration, and training coordination. The HR Specialist also plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and organizational policies.
By fostering strong relationships and maintaining efficient HR operations, this position helps create a supportive and compliant workplace while contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities- Assist the HR Manager in coordinating the new employee hiring process, including outside sources, communicating with candidates, running background checks, and preparing employee files.
- Work closely with Management and Staffing Agencies for temporary/long‑term staffing needs.
- Implement and maintain Requisition in the company’s HRIS.
- Assist in disciplinary action in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are clearly communicated and consistently applied throughout the organization.
- Assist the HR Manager in providing guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation, addressing inquiries or concerns, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Assist the HR Manager in providing guidance and support to supervisors and employees in setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing performance issues.
- Facilitate open communication channels within the company, ensuring that employees are informed about company policies, procedures, and changes.
- Process payroll.
- Maintain employee records.
- Assist the HR Manager in managing employee benefit programs.
- Assist the HR Manager in creating, maintaining, and implementing HR policies and procedures to align with company goals and legal requirements.
- Create reports for various departments as needed.
- Stay updated on HR best practices and trends to continuously improve HR processes and practices.
- Assist the HR Manager in analyzing HR data to measure key performance indicators and provide insights for decision‑making.
- Create and administer digital training through HRIS and other programs.
- Assist the HR Manager in maintaining training records and schedules.
- Data entry for various departments as needed.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in annual Company Functions.
- Assist with workers comp cases.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of HR experience.
- Knowledge and ability in English/Grammar.
- Ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform job.
- Good knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Involves frequent contact with personnel inside and outside the company requiring reasonable tact, discretion, and self‑expression.
