Human Resources Manager About the Role

Essity's Global Supply Chain/Manufacturing team in North America is currently searching for a Human Resources Manager – Harrodsburg, KY and Danville, KY. This position serves as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, collaborating with organizational leaders to align HR strategy with business and workforce goals. The role will be based in Harrodsburg and will ensure the development, launch, and monitoring of key HR initiatives in the designated facilities while coordinating with shared services on process and policy execution.

Additionally, the manager will provide specialist coaching and support to internal customers to help deliver their people plans.

What You Will Do
  • Partner with the Professional Hygiene team to provide comprehensive HR support for all HR and operational issues.
  • Manage labor and employee relations in assigned sites, including union relations activities and negotiations with support from regional leadership.
  • Develop the capability of local business teams by providing tools and knowledge for effective people management, including performance management, succession planning, career development, and team building.
  • Utilize a tactical and strategic approach to HR functions, maintaining close, cooperative relationships with HR and staff.
  • Guide line management on a broad range of HR policies, programs, and practices to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policy.
  • Prepare job/position descriptions and participate in the recruitment process with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Lead local employee onboarding plans and orient new hires at Harrodsburg and Danville facilities.
  • Administer and coordinate fair and equitable compensation and reward systems to attract, motivate, and retain qualified employees across all levels.
  • Lead continuous improvement of all HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee services while balancing overall costs.
  • Assist in organizing employee activities and community/public relations initiatives.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Human Resources.
  • SHRM certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of generalist human resources management experience required.
  • Previous experience as a Plant HR Manager with a union workforce desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
  • Experience with HRIS and analytics;
    Workday experience desired.
  • Ability to work independently and act as an influencer.
  • Comfortable navigating a collaborative, matrix-based work environment.
  • Prior experience in training or proficiency with adult learning methodologies desired.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
