Job Title: Seasonal HR Specialist ($22/hr, 3–4 Months)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Seasonal HR Specialist for a 3–4 month assignment at $22 per hour. The HR Specialist provides comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department and serves as the first point of contact for employees and contractors. You will assist the HR Manager in daily operations and collaborate with supervisors across departments to maintain seamless HR processes, ensuring high-quality customer service, administrative accuracy, and a positive employee experience.

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and contractors, handling inquiries with professionalism and ensuring questions are directed appropriately.
  • Support the HR Manager and assist departmental supervisors as needed.
  • Enter payroll data into Workday and/or UKG, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality (no direct payroll processing).
  • Oversee onboarding: process paperwork, facilitate orientation sessions, and help new hires with system logins.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, attendance tracking, job bids, and document management.
  • Help employees/contractors with HRIS logins and basic troubleshooting.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, especially when assisting distressed employees.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR Manager and supervisors for effective HR operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information.
  • Proactively suggest ways to improve HR procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR or administrative support.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday, UKG, Kronos, or similar) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to relate empathetically and professionally across a diverse workforce.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and action-oriented.
  • Strong customer service orientation and emotional resilience.
  • Comfortable with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quick to learn new systems.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Can maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters.
Compensation
  • $22 per hour
  • Seasonal assignment (3–4 months)
