HR Generalist

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support employees and site leadership in Fortville, Indiana. This role will serve as a key partner across day-to-day human resources operations, helping create a positive workplace while ensuring consistent administration of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and learning programs. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to balance employee support with business needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must be bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with managers and site leaders to address employee relations matters, provide coaching, and support effective people management practices across the facility.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for hourly and salaried roles, including sourcing, interview coordination, candidate selection support, and onboarding preparation.

• Facilitate new employee orientation and complete employment documentation, system setup, and other administrative steps needed for a smooth start.

• Process bi-weekly payroll activities, perform reconciliations, and assist with payroll coverage when additional support is needed.

• Help maintain a workplace culture aligned with company values by encouraging open communication, gathering feedback, and supporting engagement initiatives.

• Conduct workplace investigations, document findings thoroughly, and recommend appropriate follow-up actions in partnership with leadership and HR.

• Administer benefits-related activities such as orientations, enrollment support, leave tracking, and employee questions regarding available programs.

• Maintain training records, coordinate required annual training, and assist with performance management and employee development planning.

• Support policy administration, HR reporting, labor market and wage analysis, exit processes, and broader compliance efforts to ensure accurate and consistent HR operations.
