The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the HR team, assisting with daily HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee programs, and HR data management. This role helps ensure efficient HR processes and a positive employee experience by supporting workforce operations and maintaining accurate records.
Duties and Responsibilities- Support recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Assist with candidate screening and hiring efforts for production roles to support staffing goals.
- Manage pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screens, and required pre-hire testing.
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire setup, including systems such as WFM, UKG, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Support new hire setup and ongoing employee updates, including PTO tracking and timecard corrections.
- Issue and manage employee badges, including proxy and timekeeping access.
- Maintain training records for new and current employees within the learning management system.
- Maintain accurate employee records and perform HR data entry in systems such as Epicor.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks, including tracking and submitting uniform deductions.
- Review and process HR-related invoices.
- Assist new hires with benefits enrollment and related questions.
- Respond to employee inquiries and raise complex issues as appropriate.
- Assist with planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs, recognition events, and company activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, administrative support, or related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as UKG, Workday, and similar platforms.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to bend, stand, climb, twist and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform sedentary work including sitting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Travel as needed to accomplish desired results. Overnight travel may be required occasionally.
