IT Recruiter

Knowledge Services is seeking a part-time IT Recruiter for a 12-week contract supporting hiring needs in Indianapolis, Indiana. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with recruiter work, including at least one onsite day each week in downtown Indianapolis. The position focuses on building candidate pipelines, conducting screening, and coordinating interviews in close partnership with Human Resources.

You will help identify qualified IT candidates, evaluate fit against approved job requirements, and move strong candidates forward with clear documentation of experience, technical qualifications, compensation expectations, and relocation readiness when applicable.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with approved job descriptions and business requirements.
• Use professional networks, job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and other recruiting tools to build and sustain candidate pipelines.
• Make reasonable efforts to source candidates from the Midwest region
  , reflecting the Company’s historical success in those markets and the higher likelihood of acceptance and relocation to Indianapolis.
• Maintain a qualified pipeline for all positions throughout the engagement.
• Review resumes and applications against established job requirements.
• Conduct initial screening interviews to evaluate qualifications and overall fit.
• Assess and document relevant experience and technical qualifications, alignment with job requirements, career goals and interest in the opportunity, availability and anticipated start date, compensation expectations (including base salary and other significant considerations), and relocation willingness and ability to Indianapolis when applicable.
• Prepare candidate summaries and screening notes for submission to Human Resources and hiring managers.
• Present qualified, pre-screened candidates to the hiring manager and Human Resources for consideration.
• Submit candidate profiles that include relevant experience, key qualifications, compensation expectations, relocation status, and an overall assessment.
• Advance only candidates reasonably meeting the role’s minimum qualifications.
• Coordinate and schedule first-round interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Communicate interview logistics and scheduling details to candidates.
• Manage interview scheduling changes and candidate correspondence as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Human Resources throughout the recruitment process.
• Discuss and validate compensation expectations early to identify potential concerns or alignment issues.
• Confirm and document candidates’ willingness to relocate to Indianapolis when required.
• Share candidate feedback and relevant information with Human Resources and hiring managers to support hiring decisions.
• Partner with Human Resources regarding finalist candidates to ensure compensation expectations and relocation requirements are adequately vetted.

• Location: Indianapolis, IN (hybrid)
• Onsite requirement: At least 1 day per week in Downtown Indianapolis
• Schedule: 3 days each week from 8am to 5pm (approximately 24 hours per week

• Pay rate: USD 34-39 per hour
