Cabling Infrastructure Manager – DCC Communities
OverviewAWS Infrastructure Operations seeks an Infrastructure Delivery Manager to lead our network capacity cabling infrastructure team in Central Ohio. This leadership role combines technical expertise with people management to drive our Data Center Operations forward, focusing on delivering network capacity with zero rework targets. The role directly impacts AWS’s global infrastructure, including the design, planning, and operation of our data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management and Development
- Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators.
- Recruit, train, and guide staff on industry best practices.
- Host weekly staff meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Amazon performance management standards.
- Operational Oversight
- Manage infrastructure installation from procurement through deployment.
- Oversee cabling infrastructure installation in data centers.
- Coordinate team resources for projects, emergencies, and maintenance.
- Provide weekly reports to data center leadership.
- Process Improvement
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet industry standards and SLAs.
- Manage tasks and deliverables across projects of varying sizes.
- Flexibility and Availability
- Support potential off‑hours and on‑call needs.
This position requires on‑site presence at AWS data centers throughout Central Ohio to conduct supervision, team meetings, safety inspections, and manage daily operations. The role includes mandatory management meetings at AWS corporate offices throughout Central Ohio.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ year of management experience.
- 2+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
- 2+ years of data center engineering experience.
- 2+ years of network engineering and deployments for large‑scale networks in a corporate environment with hands‑on experience with physical infrastructure installations including hardware integration, racking, and cabling.
- 1+ year of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
- Experience leading process improvements.
- Experience in technical document writing using Visio, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure.
- Experience in Lean methodologies.
- Six‑Sigma or equivalent certification, or Associate’s degree or above.
- Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar.
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software).

Salary:
Base pay ranges from $70,700/year to $158,000/year, depending on geographic market. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and benefits.
