The AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead physical security projects. The position will manage data center physical security systems and projects, interpret Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards, collaborate with AWS architectural and engineering teams, and provide technical knowledge and resources to local security teams.

- As this is a Gov Cloud region, the selected candidate requires U.S. citizenship or equivalent status.
Effective May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS Gov Cloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. citizens. Gov Cloud may not be accessed from outside of the United States.
Key Job Responsibilities- Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components.
- Design physical security systems for new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
- Prepare security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents for pricing by approved vendors; review and provide quality assurance of vendor quotes; submit complete vendor quote packages to the Infrastructure Technical Project Manager.
- Project manage multiple concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
- Serve as subject matter expert for physical security system testing and acceptance, ensuring operational readiness at project completion.
- Prepare and archive project close‑out documentation.
- Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability/reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
- 2+ years of experience in physical security project management.
- Available to work a back half‑day schedule (Wednesday–Saturday).
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security‑focused tools and services.
- 3+ years of experience working with design, installation, and integration of access‑control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems.
- PSP, CPP, or PMP certification.
- Ability to manage multiple medium and large‑scale projects, interpreting program objectives, developing schedules, and meeting established timetables.

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 – $ USD annually. The total compensation package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance, supplemental life plans, EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
