Title: Senior Information Security Engineer

Duration: Permanent, direct hire

Locations: Indianapolis, IN 46202 (a few blocks north of downtown Indy) 1-2 days per week on-site/week

Hours/Shifts: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)

Why open: Backfill for the current manager's old role - was promoted recently!

Must haves:

• 5+ years of experience working in Information Security or cyber security
• Implement new security technologies
• Run initiatives on their own (RFP and RFQs)
• Advanced knowledge of security fundamentals, including IDS/IPS, brute-force attack, privilege escalation, and lateral movement, incident reporting, end-point security, vulnerability assessments
• Core knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and network layers

Plusses:

• Experience working with Linux/UNIX
• Endpoint detection and endpoint management (EDR and EXR)
• Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degree
• Good culture fit – will be partnering with a lot of people

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer key security systems;
  Intrusion detection, web and data security, e-mail encryption, change audit system, anti-malware software, and physical security systems
• Establish security operations processes, procedures, and standards
• Implement new security technologies - define requirements, research technology solutions, conduct RFPs
• Identify security gaps within current detective and preventative and develop strategic roadmaps for improvement of security posture
• Provide technical security consulting to internal customers and technical mentoring to other team members
• Investigate escalated security related incidents and communicate security strategy and direction to leadership
