Overview
Infosys is seeking a Principal Technology Architect with deep, hands-on expertise across foundation models, LLMs, GenAI workflows, agentic systems, and large-scale retrieval pipelines. This role requires experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade GenAI applications end-to-end. As part of the Manufacturing technology consulting practice, you will define and deliver next generation consulting services in areas such as Enterprise Architecture, Digital, Cloud, and AI for leading global organizations.
You will provide high-end consulting to large enterprises in defining their future state enterprise architecture, and provide technology leadership and governance for delivery of these programs. You will focus on strategic clients embarking on transformation initiatives, working closely with sales and delivery teams to drive solutions, identify technology big bets, develop solution propositions, create prototypes, and take them to market.
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade GenAI applications end-to-end.
- Provide technology leadership and governance for delivery of GenAI programs.
- Engage with strategic clients, sales, and delivery teams to drive solutions and market-ready propositions.
- Develop solution prototypes around identified technology bets and take them to market.
- Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be substituted for every year of education.
- At least 14 years of experience in Information Technology.

- Hands-on experience with GenAI patterns:
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), summarization, reranking, chunking, vector indexing, and prompt engineering; deep expertise in foundation models and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4o, Claude, Llama, and open-source alternatives. - Locations:
Indianapolis, IN & Richardson, TX. Travel and/or relocation to project/client locations required.
- At least 7 years of experience integrating AI/LLM solutions into enterprise applications using APIs, microservices, and middleware.
- Strong proficiency with orchestration frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph) for production-ready AI workflows.
- Experience designing and implementing agentic systems including tool use, agent patterns, and multi-agent collaboration.
- Expertise in vector databases such as PGVector, Pinecone, Amazon Titan, or Azure AI Search.
- Understanding of scalable data pipelines, data chunking strategies, and high-performance retrieval systems.
- Familiarity with MLOps/GenAIOps practices including CI/CD for LLMs, model monitoring, safety layers, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with cloud AI/ML stacks (AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI).
- Knowledge of AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI frameworks.
- Proven ability to deliver enterprise-grade GenAI applications such as search, chatbots, content generation, digital twins, or design automation.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to articulate deep technical concepts and architectural decisions.
- Experience leading and delivering one or more technology transformation programs with tangible business outcomes.
- Background in software development and architecture/design of large enterprise systems across Java, J2EE, .NET, Microservices, Cloud-native development, AI/ML, Infrastructure as Code, scripting, hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and related NFRs (performance, resiliency, scalability, IT security, Dev Sec Ops ).
- Experience as a Chief Architect or Architecture Lead and leadership of architecture teams within large programs.
- Broad SDLC knowledge and depth in at least two areas to drive end-to-end transformation solutions.
