** US Cloud Platform Operations Team Manager
** to join the global Technology Platforms team at Rolls-Royce. The US Platform Operation Team is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, security, and operational management of cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure Government environments. This team ensures cloud services align with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP High, DoD IL4/IL5/IL6, CMMC, NIST 800-53) and supports mission-critical workloads for government programs. The manager leads a team of cloud engineers and administrators, drives cloud modernization, and ensures secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud operations.

** What you will be doing
*** Develop and execute the Azure Government cloud strategy aligned with organizational and federal mission objectives.
* Lead a team of cloud engineers, administrators, and architects, providing mentorship, workload prioritization, and performance oversight.
* Manage stakeholder communication, contribute to risk assessments, and serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams, cybersecurity, program managers, and executive leadership.
* Drive cloud adoption, modernization, and migration initiatives for legacy systems.
* Oversee project planning and scheduling, assign tasks to relevant team members, ensure deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and budgets

** Basic Requirements:
*** Associate’s degree with 10+ years in Cloud Engineering or related IT experience OR,
* Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years Cloud Engineering or related IT experience OR,
* Master’s Degree experience with 6+ years of Cloud Engineering or related IT experience OR,
* PhD/JD with 3+ years experience in Cloud Engineering or related IT experience
* In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen.
* Must be able to travel up to 10%
** Preferred Requirements:
*** Minimum of 2+ years working in Azure Government Cloud
* Active understanding of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53/171, CMMC), experience in DoD IL4/IL5 deployments or GCC High configurations, and knowledge of Zero Trust principles and deployment patterns.
* Experience supporting DoD, IC, or federal civilian agencies and classified or controlled environments.
* Resilient, self-motivated and accomplished at forming relationships and influencing people at all levels in the company.
